Fork In The Road Wines is a small Winery and Cellar door located amongst the vineyards in McLaren Vale. Fork In The Road Wines may be small, but they are doing some amazing things here in South Australia and around the world, speaking with Joan the owner on our recent visit to the Cellar Door, we were informed of some fantastic recent achievements, not only is Fork In The Road Wines now ranked #3 out of 59 Things To Do in McLaren Vale on Trip Advisor as of 17th October 2016, Fork In The Road Wines has also been selected and reached the TOP 3 in a submission category of AWC Vienna 2016. AWC Vienna 2016 is the largest and most successful wine competition in the world, officially recognised by the European Union, 12, 826 wines from 1866 producers out of 41 nations. Not bad for a little Cellar Door in McLaren Vale, South Australia.
Fork In The Roads variety of wines include their Sparkling, Moscato, Sauvignon Blanc, and a wide variety of Shiraz’s including their 2014 Reserve Shiraz which was scored 94 points by James Halliday and great value at only $55 per bottle. My favourite drop from Fork In The road is their 2014 Grenache Shiraz.
Fork In The Road Wines also offer regional Platters, on our recent visit we decided to enjoy a platter with a glass of their wine outside in the stunning undercover area located at the rear of the cellar door, overlooking the vineyards and amazing landscape.
Fork In The Road Wines is a great little spot, and a hidden gem in McLaren Vale, well worth a visit.
